Davis Malm shareholder Josh Grossman, who practices in the Business Law and Litigation areas, contributed a chapter for the 2016 supplement to the Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education’s (MCLE) Chapter 93A Rights and Remedies Guide. This newly supplemented publication brings updated resources within immediate reach-for fast, accurate, and practical answers to many questions in this highly challenging area of practice.

Josh updated the chapter “Products Liability Claims and Chapter 93A,” which covers the products liability state of the law, including attorney general regulations regarding scope of rulemaking authority, as well as regulations concerning breaches of warranty and protection of public health, safety and welfare. The chapter also advises on preparations for sending and/or receiving a demand letter, as well as miscellaneous topics including permitted practices, spoilation and connection to underlying claims.

Chapter 93A Rights and Remedies (3rd edition) is a practical authority on the law, procedure, and litigation strategies for pursuing and opposing claims of unfair and deceptive trade practices in Massachusetts. This manual guides the practitioner through each aspect of Chapter 93A litigation, from recognizing unfair or deceptive practices at the client intake meeting through preserving issues for appeal.
